two little bugs, sitting in the street ...
Hopefully this will pose more of a challenge ...
Who knows WHAT type of insects these are, and WHAT they were doing, or trying to do, before they got squished on the road?
Believe it or not, despite their name (hint hint!), they're supposedly one of the most delectable of insects! They go well in sauces, pates and even as a topping for pizza! But be forewarned, before you go throwing a dozen in the pot, most insects need to be cleaned and prepped. For recipes, just drop me an email.

Boy, this is going to take some sleuthing. We're carving pumpkins tonight, so will have to get to it another night. Fun to think about. Not sure I'd try them for dinner!!

This is a shot in the dark, but from your hint, I'd guess stink bugs, probably mating before the tragic accident. If you gotta go somehow.....

hey, i didn't delete the second comment! I swear! Saw it in my email inbox - it made me giggle. Was from Lillian, and all it said was "ugh. just ugh. :0
Stink bugs it is, squashed in a mating pose - Paul strikes again!
If it's the legginess of stink bugs that turns you off, then there's always mealworms. When roasting they smell like wheat bread, and they're protein-packed. Highly nutritious little buggers.
