Thijs loved the boat ride. Phoebe, our adventure seeker, wanted to know why the boat didn't go faster. Alex loved the frites (french fries with mayonnaise). Stijn was happy we didn't get stuck in the mad rush of cars heading back from the coast after a holiday weekend. I just enjoyed getting away for the day and having some fun visitors! Brugge has been called the Venice of the north and has spectacular architecture. We lucked out with sunny weather and not too many crowds. Could easily spend a week there touring the museums, looking around and just getting lost in it all ...

Back from CA. Of all the places I've been, my favorite city in Europe is Brugge. Put that on the list when we come visit.

it is very quaint and so walkable -- but you do need good weather, so you must pack some in your bags when you visit! Hope you had a good trip -
